Requesting a Temporary Road or Sidewalk Closure

The Town of Vermilion supports community events and initiatives by offering the opportunity for local organizations, businesses, and individuals to apply for temporary road or sidewalk closures. Whether you're planning a parade, fundraiser, vendor event, construction project, or other activity that requires use of public property, a formal application must be submitted for approval.

All requests must be made by completing the Road and/or Sidewalk Closure Application Form. Applications are reviewed during regular business hours and require a minimum of three business days for processing. The form outlines important conditions, including insurance requirements, safety standards, and permissions needed from adjacent property owners and emergency services where applicable.
